Federal Election Crimes, Campaign Finance Offenses and a Philadelphia Case Study
September 25, 2024 @ 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm
$25.00Dear FCLC Members and Supporters,
The Federal Criminal Law Committee for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania is pleased to announce its next meeting and CLE program on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, beginning at 12:00 pm. With federal elections and campaigning on all of our minds, former FCLC chair Ron Levine (Post & Schell) will moderate a conversation regarding federal election crimes and campaign finance offenses between Eric Gibson, Chair of Post & Schell’s White Collar group, and District of Delaware AUSA Michelle Morgan, formerly of DLA Piper. Both attorneys with experience prosecuting and defending election-related cases, Eric and Michelle will offer a timely, probing discussion of the law and whether federal criminal courts are an adequate or appropriate vehicle for addressing vulnerabilities in the American election landscape in 2024. The session will end with a case study regarding a recent federal criminal prosecution of an election fraud scheme in South Philadelphia.
For in-person attendees, Post & Schell is sponsoring this event at an auxiliary conference space, located at One Logan Square, Philadelphia, PA 19103. The lunch will begin at noon. The CLE portion of the event will begin at 12:30 pm. One hour of CLE credit will be provided at no additional cost.
