Dear FCLC Members and Supporters,

The Federal Criminal Law Committee for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania is pleased to announce its next meeting and CLE program on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, beginning at 12:00 pm. In these times, immigration law touches all criminal defense lawyers. Whether our clients are corporations, indigent individuals, or well-off white collar defendants, they all face some immigration-related risks. So FCLC is pleased to present its distinguished panel of immigration experts to give us an update from the front lines.

The program will be moderated by FCLC’s Nina Spizer, Co-Chair of Dilworth Paxson’s Criminal Law & Investigations Group, and former Chief of the Trial Unit at the Federal Defender’s office. The panel will include:

• Elise Fialkowski, Co-Chair of the Corporate Immigration Practice at Klasko Immigration Law;
• Whitney Viets, Immigration Counsel at the Philadelphia Defender, Senior Attorney at the Nationalities Service Center, and Professor at Villanova; and
• Nina Spizer, your Moderator

Topics may include recent developments in the fast-moving immigration sphere, and practical advice for all criminal defense lawyers.

For those who want to attend in person, Dilworth Paxson is sponsoring this event at their offices located at 1650 Market St., Suite 1200, Philadelphia PA, 19103. The lunch will begin at noon. The CLE portion of the event will begin at 12:30 pm. One hour of CLE credit will be provided at no additional cost.

Admission is $15 for FCLC members and $25 for non-members.
